"Break time" by Lieutenant jg T'Kang Ast. Tactical Officer - USS Tempest http://come.to/tkang T'Kang's shift wore on. It had been hours since his allergy to cat hair had originally flared up. For the most part he suffered through it, actually feeling better until that pestering Operations officer would come around, covered in cat hair and making things worse. How anyone could constantly pop in and out of the bridge as O'Malley did and hope to get any work done was beyond the Klingon. Not that there was a lot going on at the moment. The Tempest was orbiting the planet along with the Ferengi vessels and so far, no hostile actions had been taken. Other than watching the monitors while the ship was in orbit, there wasn't much else that needed to be done from tactical. To pass the time, T'Kang had decided to do a little snooping and read through the computer's databanks on some of the crew members he was now serving with. It was some irresistible force that caused the Tactical officer to pull up O'Malley's file. "I think she has a crush on you." Commodore Taddy Mitchell commented while walking around the bridge. T'Kang glanced up, not realizing the Captain had taken to pacing the command deck. "I do not think so." he said flatly, deactivating the monitor. "Oh I do. She doesn't try nearly this hard to annoy new crew members when she doesn't like them." Taddy commented with a smile, "You should consider yourself lucky." "I do not *feel* lucky Captain." T'Kang grumbled. "You would if you knew how annoying Lieutenant O'Malley can be to crew members she doesn't like Lieutenant." Taddy grinned as he continued his pacing. T'Kang's forehead furrowed as he pondered the Commodore's comment. Finally he shook his head in disagreement just as the turbolift doors opened and Ensign Meckler walked onto the bridge. "Time for your break T'Kang." Meckler explained. The burly Klingon punched out of the Tactical station and moved aside to allow the Ensign to take the controls. "I will be in sickbay. I should return shortly." "Oh?, Not feeling well Lieutenant?" Meckler asked. With a disgusted, pained look on his face, T'Kang responded in a annoyed growl, "Allergies. Cat allergies." Ensign Meckler nodded and looked away, trying hard to hide his amusement from the Klingon's comment. "I see. Well take your time. It doesn't look like anything is going to happen while your gone for the next few minutes." T'Kang let out a disapproving grunt, then turned and stomped onto the turbolift before exiting the bridge. With the massive landing party of medical personnel on the planet, he hoped that someone was left on board the Tempest that could treat his allergy symptoms. **** OOC: One runny eyed, grumpy Klingon headed to sickbay..
