"Entering Station D'Alaan 27" by Sogh T'Kang Weapons officer - IKV Jachyoj http://come.to/tkang T'Kang stepped through the airlock and let his steel tipped boots clank on the metal flooring of D'Alaan Station. The hiss of escaping gasses swirled in cloud circles at the warrior's feet as he glanced around the alien base that served as a oasis on the edge of known the Klingon Empire. There was a dark, foreboding element to the construction of the interior of the station. It wasn't just stark and functional like Klingon stations or ships were made, and it didn't have that luxurious "Hilton" feeling of a Starfleet station either. Yet there was an unusual uniqueness to the sculptured walls and the way the decking was laid out. It was certainly functional, but it had a coldness, a harsh truth to it's design too. It was as if the designers were as much artisans as engineers. And very morose ones at that. Overall, T'Kang decided he liked the way the landing area looked as he proceeded to walk down the unloading through way and headed into the inner reaches of Station D'Alaan 27. The warrior's left hand was gripping the sturdy draw strings of his duffel bag where it rested over his broad, bear-like shoulder. In his right hand, with the points facing down towards the ground, T'Kang held his bat'leth. With proud steps the former Starfleet officer took wide steps with his tree stump like legs as he walked at full stride through the various corridors of the station. He finally reached an open area where a deck directory had been set up. It had the directions on the alien device's operation listed in both Terran and Klingoneese. The weapons officer quickly discovered how to activate the terminal and got a deck layout of the massive station. D'Alaan was almost four miles in diameter and nearly as tall from end to end. The station's origins were still unknown to the Empire and the Federation, which was part of the reason why this joint posting had been arranged. So everyone could study the design and hopefully gain insight into it's designers and their technology. T'Kang had read the information General Pi'ror had provided him for the long trip on the weapons freighter. Not a lot was known about D'Alaan, or it's creators. Now being on the station, T'Kang found himself simply wishing to explore her decks and discovering what secrets he could about the place which would serve at the Jachyoj's home port when that Bird of Prey finally arrived. The alien terminal responded to T'Kang's input commands, following the instructions on the accompanying Klingon placard to it's side. He soon learned he was on Blue 96, the Disembarkation area, and that there appeared to be a Lounge and Restaurant just two levels down on Blue 99. The trip from Qo'nos had been a long one; the second leg in T'Kang's long journey since resigning from Starfleet in Federation space. A few genuine bloodwine HIuje' would certainly hit the spot right now. If he was lucky, they would have some 2309 on hand for the son of Crass to begin the newest leg of his adventure in his claim to regain the honor lost to his family's house when he was but a boy. T'Kang turned and began marching to the nearest lift to visit the Deep Blue Lounge on deck 99. From his understanding, HoD K'sara and the Jachyoj would not be arriving for quite some time. Which basically meant that T'Kang had time to kill until his new assignment did show up. The warrior could think of no better way of doing that then with a tankard of vintage bloodwine to wet his dry throat.
