"A talk with the Chief of Security" by Sogh T'Kang Weapons officer - IKV Jachyoj http://come.to/tkang Lieutenant Himperman Vall sat in his chair at the desk of the Chief of Security for Station D'Alaan 27. T'Kang stood across the desk still brooding over the recent poisoning murder of Ra'wI' Kruge. "Please T'Kang, have a seat." Vall asked while bringing his computer terminal on-line. Reluctantly, with a disapproving grunt, the Klingon sat down. Even seated T'Kang made an impressive presence. His large frame barely fit in the standard issue Federation chair the Chief of Security had chosen as furniture in his new office on the station. "It would be helpful to know what exactly we are searching for T'Kang. Did Kruge have any enemies or did anyone threaten him recently that might have done this?" Vall asked. T'Kang shifted uncomfortable in the tiny chair. "The Ra'wI' hadn't mentioned any threats. I had only just met Kruge when I arrived at the Station a few hours ago. However he didn't seemed overly concerned with his safety." Vall nodded. "If Kruge was indeed poisoned like you say, it would seem unlikely that a fellow Klingon would have murdered him in that way. From what I understand of Klingons that is." T'Kang nodded. "Poison is a coward's weapon. A Warrior would not use such a thing to eliminate an enemy of their house. However, not all Klingon's have honor Lieutenant. We can not dismiss the possibility out of hand." "Well, hopefully when the medical and science teams isolate what poison was used, assuming there was a toxin involved, hopefully that will gleam us some new information to go on." Vall explained, then glanced at the newly refreshed computer screen. "Ah, here we go. A full manifest of the officers, warriors and civilians presently on board D'Alaan station." T'Kang nodded while watching the Chief of Security gather a Federation data padd and download the list. "Obviously until we know more about the poison, what type was used, how quickly it acts, etceteras, we will be unable to question the people on the station about their whereabouts to establish alibis." Lieutenant Vall explained. "Once again, we are at the mercy of others in the medical and science departments. . ." T'Kang cursed under his breath. "Not to worry T'Kang. Lieutenant Commander Sevet and Doctor Wimberly are excellent Starfleet officers. If anyone can discover what happened to Kruge and isolate the toxin used, they can." T'Kang took the data padd from the Chief of Security and frowned skeptically. "We shall see. So far I have not been very impressed Lieutenant." "Well, in the mean time, with Ra'wI' Kruge's death, you are now the senior Klingon on board the station T'Kang. I believe the Jachyoj has been delayed at Praxis while HoD K'sara takes care of a few details there. You may wish to contact the Empire to get a progress report on when the Bird of Prey will be arriving." Vall commented. T'Kang nodded. "Yes, I must also report the death of Ra'wI' Kruge. It will no doubt come as a surprise to the council." Himperman stood and offered his hand to T'Kang. "Well, I'm sure that together we will be able to get to the bottom of who has done this, and why, T'Kang." Taking the Chief's hand, T'Kang shook it. "Keep me informed of what the Doctors and scientists discover. In the mean time I will inform the Empire of what has happened, and see what I can learn about Kruge's background. That may help us narrow down who would most benefit from his death." "Very good T'Kang. Qapla!" Vall stated. T'Kang nodded. "Qapla!" he then turned and exited the Chief of Security's office on Gray level 1.
