"Checking up on the Klingons" by Sogh T'Kang First officer - IKV Jachyoj http://come.to/tkang T'Kang left the meeting Captain Mec had ordered to inform them of the missing Doctor Smith and his medical staff. There was something very odd happening on the space station. Starfleet officers don't just simply disappear. Klingon warriors don't just get poisoned. Someone or something was definitely loose on the station. Returning to the lower levels of the Red section, T'Kang checked in to the Klingon Barracks just to see if the three warriors had returned from their evening of relaxation after cleaning out Red 9 level for the arrival of the Jachyoj and the detachment of warriors and supplies she would deliver in the morning. Glancing around, he could see that the three of them were no where to be found. Turning on his heel with a displeased grunt, T'Kang stomped off to the nearest elevation lift to descend to Blue level to see if he could locate his men. Upon arriving at the "Deep Blue" lounge, T'Kang was once again amazed at the shear size and openness of the deck. It really gave the warrior a good appreciation for the massive size and girth of the alien constructed space station. Locating the three partying Klingon warriors was no challenge at all. Tumek, Roshka and Reshtarc were enjoying themselves with bloodwine and loud stories of past battles won and victories earned. Their laughter and haughty taunts echoed through the cavernous 99th level. "I am glad I have located you." T'Kang announced stepping to the table where the three warriors were seated. "Sogh! Come, join us in a toast to the Empire. The bloodwine is exceptionally good this evening." Roshka offered. T'Kang gave a stern shake of his head. "No. I am afraid tonight is not a good night to celebrate." "Every night is a good night to celebrate when you are Klingon T'Kang!" Tumek bellowed to the amusement of the two other warriors who shared his level of intoxication. T'Kang's expression remained rock solid. "Several officers from the station are missing and have failed to report for duty. The Captain is concerned that someone or something might be on the station responsible for their disappearance." Reshtarc withdrew his d'k tahg holding it up proudly, though his arm wavered slightly from the hours of drink. "We are not afraid of any enemy. Bring on the beasts and we shall dice them up into little pieces of meat. We are Klingon warriors! If the cowards will not come to us, then we will hunt them down wherever they hide!" "You are in no condition to hunt anything Reshtarc. Now put your blade away. The Captain has asked that I account for the presence of each of the men under my chain of command, and I have now done that." T'Kang explained. "Then you have time to drink with us Sogh. Come, sit and tell us stories of your great career in Starfleet." Roshka beckoned. T'Kang bared his teeth slightly and snarled at the warrior. It was obvious the Klingon's experience serving the Federation was a sore subject he didn't particularly feel like discussing at the moment. "Some other time, perhaps. But for now, I must report my findings to the Captain. You three are to remain here until the lounge closes, and then report back to the barracks on Red Level 9. HoD Aram and the Jachyoj will be arriving early, so you'll need to be awake and alert when she does. Is that understood?" "Of course Sogh. We will be ready for her arrival in the morning." Tumec replied. T'Kang gave a nod and then turned to exit the Deep Blue lounge. Walking back through the corridors of the station on the way to the lift location, T'Kang felt an odd draft-like sensation on the ridges of his spine. A quiet, howling wind seemed to breeze through the corridors of the dark space station, and for a moment T'Kang thought he heard distant, ghost like whispers. Pinching his eyes and taking another look, the station grew quiet, and the sounds subsided. Shaking his head and dismissing it as simply a long day without rest, the Klingon warrior stepped onto the lift and headed back up to the Red levels to meet with Captain Mec.
