Akula: "Blanketing sub-space on your order Lieutenant" by Ensign T'Kang T'Kang grumbled at the Andorian's summation of the situation. He seemed determined not to harm the Cardassian vessels that even now, threatened the away team. The Klingon might have expected as much from Lieutenant jg Nelsy, but not from the Andorian. His logic escaped the stubborn Klingon. "kill them and be done with it." He thought. "T'Kang, get working on an effective means of dampening their subspace signals without uncloaking. I need tactical to calculate some called shots for me to disable engines and weapons, I don't want to disable them if we don't have to... a full operational ship will make a cleaner getaway... . We can't let this prize go. Anyone else have any ideas?" Za ordered. T'Kang glanced at the Lieutenant, narrowing his eyes. He was a pilot, not a communications expert. T'Kang let out a low growl as he left the helm and moved over to the communications station. Grabbing the lower access panel, the Klingon paused glaring at Lieutenant Za before giving the grating a decisive tug, jerking the cover out of the way. Rolling over onto his back, T'Kang began to reconfigure the transmitter to try and set up some sort of feed-back loop to blanket the area in random sub-space transmissions. T'Kang was convinced the Andorian had assigned him to the task to make him look bad. While struggling with the mass of isolinear chips and ODN connections, T'Kang was surprised to hear the Chief Medical Officer speaking to Lieutenant Za. She had an idea to try and trick the Cardassians into believing that she was working for them and had captured this ship. T'Kang's lip curled at the thought of the Cardassians `believing' the Doctor and landing their shuttle in the Akula's shuttle bay. Nelsy insisted that once in our shuttle bay, it would be an easy matter to disarm the Cardassians. The thought struck T'Kang that the opposite was also true. Once the Cardassian shuttle had landed in the shuttle bay, if Lieutenant Nelsy did turn out to be a Cardassian spy, it would be easy for her to assist the landed troops in taking over this vessel. T'Kang bared his teeth at the thought, not knowing if it was his instincts that were causing him to doubt Nelsy or too much exposure to Lieutenant jg Enya. All he knew for sure was, he didn't like it. "The transmitter modifications are complete." T'Kang barked out loudly while getting up off the ground. "We can blanket sub-space frequencies to effectively block out all communications within two hundred thousand kilometers whenever you are ready to activate it." Lieutenant Za glanced over at T'Kang and gave his head a slight bob before looking back at the Cardassian and replying to her plan.
